Write articles to promote your book. To get them placed in publications, consult editorial calendars. (An editorial calendar is an issue-by-issue schedule of topics used by editors to place articles.) For example, if you have a book geared to fathers look for upcoming themes related to fathers, families, or parenting to maximize your success. To start, search for editorial calendar 2010 fathers using Google or your favorite Internet search engine.

Book Tip

Include the benefits of your book on its back cover to entice people to buy it. Remember that readers want to get something from a book, either enjoyment or information.
