Marketing Tip

Are you wanting to attend a networking event but hesitant because you don't have business cards yet? Attend and say to those you meet, "My cards are in production, may I have your card, and send you mine when it's ready?" You'll receive their information and get a chance to follow up and show initiative.

Book Tip

FREE event this Sunday, February 28: Multnomah County Library Writers Resource Fair from Noon to 3:00 p.m. at the Central Library, 801 SW 10th Avenue, Portland, Oregon. Books will be for sale and representatives of writing organizations, editors, and book designers (including me) will be available to answer your questions. I'll have a table in the US Bank Room on the first floor, and I'd love to see you there!

Tidbit

Instead of responding "no problem" when a customer thanks you, reply enthusiastically, "My pleasure." It shifts the energy from a "problem" to something you were glad to do. Customers respond accordingly, so give it a try if you'd like more business.
