Book Tip

Most professional book designers use Adobe InDesign software. When placing illustrations or pictures into InDesign, Adobe recommends working with native file formats, such as .ai (file name extension for Adobe Illustrator files) and .psd (file name extension for Adobe Photoshop files). This workflow not only lets you continue editing transparency effects in placed graphics, it can also improve final results.
