Book Tip

As a book designer, it is my goal to draw the reader in and make the interior pages pleasing to the eye, with type styles complementing the author's message. The design should not distract from the reading experience. Jeff Bezos, Founder and CEO of Amazon.com, said, "At the beginning of our [Kindle] design process, we identified what we believe is the book's most important feature. It disappears. When you read a book, you don't notice the paper and the ink and the glue and the stitching. All of that dissolves, and what remains is the author's world."
