Marketing Tip

The trade show season is upon us. If you’ll be staffing a booth, remember to have your furniture—as well as yourself—be open and inviting. Don’t place a table between you and the show attendees. Set it back and stand in front of it. Refrain from eating, reading the newspaper, talking on your cell phone, and checking your e-mail while you’re in the booth. Remember you’re there to meet potential customers!

Book Tip

When telling someone about your book, remember that less is often more. Think of it as giving them your book jacket flap copy. Leave them with something intriguing that makes them want to hear (or better yet, read) more.
