Marketing Tip
Have you been thinking about starting a blog, but the time commitment has made you reluctant? Begin by reading blogs in your subject matter and post on them. Make sure your signature line is descriptive. For example, list your name, the title of your book or service, and a link to your website for greater exposure.
Book Tip
The Willamette Writers Conference was another huge success. (If you missed it, mark your 2009 calendar now for the first weekend in August.) This was the first year I attended "Pitching to the Pros" where authors pitch their manuscripts to literary agents and editors. One agent commented to an author, "Don't be shy. Put yourself out there." Good advice for pitching, and for life!
Tidbit
Breakfast in Bridgetown: The Definitive Guide to Portland's Favorite Meal by Paul Gerald is at the printer. I designed this guide to 95 restaurants serving breakfast in the Portland area. It's a helpful, entertaining book filled with Paul's engaging wit. To pre-order the book and check out Paul's blog, visit www.BreakfastInBridgetown.com.
